Job Description

Position: Service Desk Manager (MSP)

Location: Hybrid - Toronto Office (twice a week)

Type: Permanent

Our client, a leader in the MSP space, is currently seeking a Service Desk Manager to join their team.


Our client is a mid-sized MSP, and their customers include some of Canada’s leading REITS, Retail and Financial Services companies. They have a collaborative and team-based approach and an amazing work culture with great growth potential!


Requirements:


  • Proven track record of developing detailed technical documentation, working with vendors and manufacturers to resolve technical issues, utilizing remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA) solutions, and NOC monitoring and notifying customers of potential issues.
  • Extensive experience in managing, leading and supporting technical support teams and in providing technical assistance and consultation to the Account Management Team
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and a 24/7 support environment is important.


Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for creating automated tasks
  • Working knowledge of networking, routing, firewall and switch technologies
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, and DNS
  • Experience with task automation and workload management
  • Experience with help desk software/ticketing systems and monitoring software
  • Awareness of potential cybersecurity threats and experience in protecting systems from attacks
  • Ability to identify and understand customer issues, develop plans to resolve them and present solutions to customers
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, XenServer or other virtual machines
  • Experience with Windows Server and Desktop
  • 3-Years’ Experience with a Managed Service Provided (MSP)
  • Understanding of server hardware and configuration
  • Knowledge of system administration troubleshooting using common operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac)
