Job Description
On behalf of our client in the Telco Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Network Support Analyst - Level 2 Store Support.
Senior Network Support Analyst - Level 2 Store Support –


  • Respond to user generated trouble tickets for issues such as “unable to connect to network”, “page cannot be displayed” and “the network is slow”
  • Manage security of the network by monitoring ports and devices. Removing and granting access to devices as required
  • Support Internet connectivity on behalf of retail stores remotely support the store by troubleshooting with the store employees who are non-technical
  • Monitor interface bandwidth usage and apply traffic shaping as needed, and if required, call the ISP to troubleshoot bandwidth issues
  • Book and manage service calls with the ISP and communicate with the store
  • Be on call to support retails stores in all time zones across Canada
  • Work with ISPs to resolve internet connectivity issues with remote locations
  • Maintain the retail network by proactively monitoring network health and responding to issues and outages

Senior Network Support Analyst - Level 2 Store Support – Mandatory Skills


  • Basic understanding of BGP and other routing protocols
  • Must be comfortable cold calling ISPs and Stores, with a friendly attitude
  • Understand various VPN technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understand network security, 802.1x and MAC control
  • Familiar with Layer 2 switching, understand vlans
  • Basic understanding of traffic shaping and bandwidth management
  • Understand Wifi and how devices connect to Wifi
  • Must have good understanding of IPv4
  • Understand and troubleshoot Wan connections, PPPoE, DHCP and static IP services

Senior Network Support Analyst - Level 2 Store Support – Preferred Skills


  • Bilingual French/English preferred
  • Must have experience with Internet facing firewalls, Fortigate firewalls is a plus
