Alpha Corporate Technologies is an MSP (Managed Service Provider) looking for a IT Support Specialist Level 2 to join our growing team. From our office in Mississauga, we provide ‘white glove’ service for all our clients technology needs. As a Support Specialist, you will work directly with clients providing expertise in hardware and software installations, troubleshooting and making configuration recommendations. This role primarily will be office-centric, but on occasion you may need to travel to client sites. You will be expected to manage your own way to and from client sites, with mileage compensated.
Attention to detail and accuracy is critical in your work responsibilities, as you will be working with a fast-paced team in a company that is rapidly moving forward. This is a very hands-on position with a great deal of self-reliance required. The goal is to create value for our client end users that will help preserve the Service Desk's value and reputation.
An excellent candidate must have a strong technical interest, client service skills and be able to prioritize internal team and external client needs. They must be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution at the client level. They must also be client-oriented and patient to deal with clients when they may be stressed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
·Help desk: 3 years (Required)
·Active Directory: 3 years (Required)
·M365 admin: 3 years (Required)
·Work Permit (Required)
·Diploma (Preferred)
·Switching & routing: 3 years (Preferred)
·Ticketing system: 3 years (Preferred)
·Hardware - technical troubleshooting: 3 years (Preferred)
·MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, CCNP, VCP, or anything similar (Preferred)
·Backup software
·Anti-virus/ malware tools
·Document ticket interaction
Responsibilities:
oExceptional client service skills, and ability to empathize with how a technical issue affects the client.
oAbility to accurately assess, prioritize and resolve incoming support requests.
oMaintaining an organized and documented workflow
oComfortable doing remote and onsite installations, updates, training and assistance for IT equipment (including but not limited to; workstations, mobile devices, printers, telecommunications, network devices)
oAbility to define root cause, and action until desired results achieved.
oWill be responsible for taking calls on an On-Call rotation
oComfortable troubleshooting independently and with the team.
oPC configuration repair and assembly
oTravel to client sites when needed (reliable transportation is required). Mileage will be reimbursed accordingly.
