What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Scientific Communication to develop an external scientific comms strategy framework to highlight our science-led first proposition externally including credentialing, KOL liaison and partnerships, scientific, trade, and academic congresses and publications strategy.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Toronto office.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role

• Conduct interviews with media, influencers and participates in live engagements; masterclasses and retailer opportunities
• Develop and coordinate scientific content and copy for new product launches; review and edit content of reformulated or relaunched products
• Develop scientific product proposition, positioning and copy for external and consumer communication
• Key scientific partner for Brands, Regions, Brand Engagement, Partnerships, Media and Retail teams in all aspects of communications and adaptation for local needs
• Key point of contact for Estee Lauder Companies to coordinate copy development and approval
• Oversee the development of online content to ensure it aligns with approved scientific content, while meeting SEO requirements to drive traffic
• Collaborate with Creative and Clinical to brainstorm new platforms and methodology to engage with consumers to evolve product propositions
• Foster effective collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, while building effective protocols, and processes that drive efficiencies and accuracy
• Responsible for building the NPD program brief and concept brief with brands as well as being responsible for scientific NPL launch process
• Main point of contact for Global Product Marketing and Regional Brand Heads for The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan and Incubator Brands for engagement, scientific support, and product development strategy

Skills And Qualifications Needed To Get The Job Done

• Bachelor of Science, Masters, or equivalent degree/qualification, in relevant life science educational area
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to deliver impactful, strategic and content-rich communications programmes externally
• 3+ years of scientific credentialing required (publications, abstracts, congresses, KOL programs)
• 5+ years of knowledge of pharmaceutical, cosmetic sciences or life science environments required
• 7+ years of communications experience required
• Experience of creating and translating scientific/technical content for internal and consumer audiences
