Position Summary
The Provider Liaison Specialist in the General Medicine (Gen Med - Physician) Program is a crucial role responsible for managing various aspects of provider operations, including credentialing, scheduling, practice management, finance coordination, general support, relationship building, and collaborations. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of Gen Med services and maintaining strong relationships with Gen Med providers/physicians. This role works closely with all of our physicians nationally !
Role and Responsibilities
Credentialing:
- Work closely with the coordinator to maintain accurate documentation of provider credentials and certifications.
- Ensure providers meet necessary qualifications and licensing requirements.
- Manage the credentialing process for providers delivering Gen Med services.
Scheduling:
- Collaborate with the coordinator to optimize provider schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and availability.
Practice Management
- Assists in managing providers and works closely with Medical Leadership regarding performance-related issues.
- Oversight of operational workflows that lead to practice success in meeting key performance indicators including quality, access, member and provider satisfaction, etc.
Finance Coordination:
- Collaborate with the finance team and coordinator to ensure accurate logging of provider hours and timely processing of invoices.
General Support:
- Provide one-on-one provider navigation coaching to improve their understanding of the system.
- Deliver excellent customer service and support to address provider concerns and issues.
- Guide the provider experience by providing assistance, problem-solving, and support.
- Assure that providers maintain appropriate access to systems and tools necessary for consultations.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to system functionality, or escalate to the appropriate team for resolution.
Relationship Building:
- Optimize provider participation in the network and foster provider satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Gen Med providers.
Collaborations:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance the overall provider experience.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proven + 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of financial aspects related to provider hours and invoicing.
- Strong understanding of provider credentialing processes and qualifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software systems and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, etc.) preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in scheduling and coordinating provider activities.
- Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers.
