Join our team as a Scientific Data Analyst and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our chemical data management processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Chemical Data Maven: Become the subject matter expert in chemical data management. Your deep understanding of the nuances of chemical data will empower you to address queries, solve challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to improve our data management processes.
  • Quality and Compliance Guardian: Ensure that all quality and compliance procedures are rigorously followed. Identify areas where process enhancements are required and communicate these insights effectively to the relevant stakeholders. Your commitment to compliance will be crucial in maintaining our data integrity.
  • Investigative Expertise: You will be our go-to person for sourcing, collecting, and validating data from various third-party sources. Your keen attention to detail and systematic approach will be invaluable in cross-referencing data with inputs from product managers, guaranteeing the highest data quality standards.
  • Chemistry Collaboration: Assist your fellow EDM (Enterprise Data Management) team members with your specialized knowledge in chemistry. Your insights will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of data intricacies, enabling the team to make informed decisions.
  • Insightful Reporting: Produce meticulous and insightful product portfolio reports tailored to the needs of the business. Your ability to organize and present complex data in a clear and understandable manner will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making.
  • Data Accuracy Advocate: As a Scientific Data Analyst, you will be the gatekeeper of data accuracy. You'll be responsible for timely and precise updates to our databases, ensuring that new and existing product information is up-to-date and reflective of the latest research and developments.


Qualifications


  • Strong knowledge of chemical data, including naming conventions, structures (including stereochemistry), concentrations, and physical measurements.
  • Familiarity with IFS, Agility, and Isentris systems (an advantage).
  • Proficiency in manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience in managing expectations and requirements from multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using chemical drawing software such as Chemdraw.
  • Quick adaptability to new software tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Excellent Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.


Education, Experience, and Technical Skills:


  • Proven experience in scientific data analysis and chemical data management
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
