Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. Your commitment to the serving the needs of our clients and employees will encourage client and employee loyalty and enhance our organization’s success.WHAT OUREXCEPTIONAL SCHEDULER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:Schedule commissionaires at all client sites; manages the scheduling process to avoid overtime and excessive hours;Maintains full site coverage at all times; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; responds to emergency situations, book-offs, vacation requests and LOA’s to ensure that client sites have full coverage;Ensures that accurate schedules are maintained to minimize payroll, and billing errors; interfaces with Regional Managers and the Payroll Department to make corrections;Ensures current knowledge of site’s and service requirements, clearance requirements, commissionaires’ availability and time worked, and which Client sites are included and/or excluded from the Union;Updating scheduling in Track Tik and other company computer systems as needAssisting staff with scheduling app, login issuesAll other duties as assigned as neededWE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:Previous experience in Scheduling/Dispatching/Customer Service is a MUST with special emphasis on the following: Ability to deal effectively with Stressful situationsCritical thinking; ability to make sound, independent and quick decisions as well as be able to think outside the boxExtreme attention to detailShows initiative, flexibility and resourcefulnessBeen a resident of Canada for at least 5 consecutive yearsAble to establish priorities, handle & resolve problemsAble to function in a fast-paced office environment with moderate directionExcellent customer service skills when dealing with employees and clientsUnderstanding the framework and principles of security industry an asset.Experience in contract management as well as principles and procedures of record keeping also an asset Post-secondary education and /equivalentWork experience in scheduling, customer service or dispatching fields.MUST have intermediary to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – in particular: Excel, Word, OutlookMust have 5 years of residency in Canada for security clearanceWHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:Medical and DentalEmployee assistance programFamily Assistance programCoaching and counselling supportOnline Resources – e-learning, interactive tools, health and wellness, life balance and workplace articleWe would like to thank all those who apply, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is fully committed to abiding by all equal opportunity employment standards.
