Job Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Planner/Scheduler I to join our client's professional team in Ajax. As a Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for reviewing material availability, preparing production orders, and ensuring a controlled flow of materials to meet production requirements. This is a Full-Time role with a salary of $30 per hour, offering excellent learning opportunities and growth potential in the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry.

Detailed

• Review production requirements and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the master schedule.
• Review and take necessary actions based on MRB findings and squawks.
• Identify shortages in backlogs and escalate to management when on-time order delivery is at risk.
• Coordinate sub-contracted orders and generate required paperwork.
• Review material availability in the ERP/MRP system and plan actions to support production releases according to the MPS schedule.
• Confirm and release work orders, ensuring material availability and reissuing materials as needed.
• Plan, prepare, issue, and control production orders and material requirements to maintain a smooth production flow.
• Conduct physical counts of raw material and work-in-process (WIP) inventory, resolving inventory variances.
• Prepare and issue production paperwork, revise and reschedule shop orders when necessary.
• Collaborate with the Development Planning group for any required actions related to new Engineering Drawings or Design Changes.
• Collaborate with the Production supervisor to monitor status and scheduling for on-time product delivery.
• Input data into various systems and prepare reports for production planning or customer meetings.
• Direct or instruct the expeditor regarding products for finished goods shipment or follow-up requirements.
• Work with department personnel to resolve material availability issues and expedite the release of items into production.
• Coordinate with the production team for any changes to schedules.
• Collaborate with various teams to address planning-related issues and support failed product assessments.
• Review procured items and request expedite actions from purchasing for urgent material needs.

Candidate's Profile

• Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks.
• Knowledge of Drawing Applications and understanding of drawings.
• Entry-level position with little or no prior relevant work experience.
• College degree preferred, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in production planning.
• Proficiency in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office.
• Works under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures.
• Solid understanding of Production Planning and Production Scheduling best practices and principles.
