We are actively looking for exceptional and passionate individuals who want to work in a learning, innovative team. We are currently looking for a Programmer to join our Mississauga team!

The Programmer works with Software Development team to implement and program new and/or existing application respecting the PMRI standard operating procedures. This position reports to Director, Software Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and trouble shooting.
• As a member of IT, work to transition existing application resources to ones which are dynamic, user-centric, and customizable.
• Other duties as required.
• Continue the development for web, stand alone or client/server application using dot Net technology, Azure, Office 365 and other emerging technologies.
• Work with the Director, Software Development to implement and maintain secure application as needed.
• Work with computer services staff to develop and maintain a dynamic and extensible application which is consistent in design, high quality, and high performance.
• Participate in network design, security and configuration.
• Maintain and support on-going development project.
• Develop, implement, and maintain secure intranet or Client server interfaces applications for use by PMRI staff and administration.

Qualifications:

• Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills are essential
• Bachelor-level degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience programming complex information systems in a Windows environment using both a scripting language and a compiled language, e.g., VB.NET, Perl, ASP.NET, C#. Experience designing normalized SQL-compatible database and Oracle schemas as well as implementing robust, usable Web-based interfaces to SQL-compatible DBMS, e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL sever
• Two (2) years of related technical experience
• Experience in one or more of the following is also desirable:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well as a team player
• Extensive knowledge of XHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, transformation technologies

Management and application development

Internet or Intranet security

Familiarity with Web Services' standards such as SOAP and WSDL
