Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as our Business Development Manager - SMART Golf Tournament Software. As a sales professional, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our golf tournament software solutions to golf courses, country clubs, event organizers, and other relevant organizations. Your primary goal will be to drive revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence in the golf industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and target potential customers in the golf industry, including golf courses, country clubs, event organizers, and other relevant organizations.
Generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, email marketing, social media outreach, networking events, and industry conferences.
Conduct thorough research to understand customer needs, pain points, and competitive landscape.
Present our golf tournament software solutions to prospective customers, highlighting their features, benefits, and value proposition.
Customize product demonstrations and deliver persuasive sales presentations to effectively communicate how our software can meet customer requirements.
Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring high customer retention rates.
Provide ongoing support and assistance to customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or technical issues they may encounter.
Collaborate closely with our customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of our software for new customers.
Conduct regular account reviews to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the customer base.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to golf tournament software.
Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify areas for product improvement and inform sales strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, product materials, and promotional campaigns.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including customer interactions, sales activities, and revenue forecasts.
Provide regular reports to the sales manager or leadership team, highlighting sales performance, key metrics, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven track record in software sales, preferably in the golf industry or related fields.
Strong understanding of the golf tournament landscape, including familiarity with tournament management processes and software solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively convey complex information to customers.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively to meet sales targets.
Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to close deals and achieve sales quotas.
Strong negotiation and objection handling skills.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
