Position Vacancy:

Sales and Design Consultant – Kitchens & Bathrooms

We have an immediate opening and unique opportunity for an experienced Sales & Design Consultant who will report to the Sales and Administration Manager. We are most interested in interviewing candidates who are highly motivated and actively looking for a fresh career opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prompt and courteous service and efficient design consultation services to our customers while advising them on the various kitchen and bathroom products and services available to meet their renovation needs. Sales Consultants are most importantly expected to qualify prospective customers, be familiar with the products and services offered by Kitchens & Bathrooms First, prepare design layouts, make product selections, and prepare estimates for kitchen and bathroom renovations.

Kitchens and Bathroom First is a family-owned and operated business. Since 2002, it has grown to incorporate a beautiful modern kitchen and bath showroom in Ottawa. Our professional staff includes kitchen and bathroom design consultants, craftsmen, project managers, and administrative personnel. We have the experience and expertise needed to help customers select the right solutions for the creation of the kitchen and/or bathroom of their dreams. As a value-added service, we offer amazing 3D design services to help customers envision the kitchen or bathroom design they are looking for. We have pride in our work and our customer reviews justify that pride.


Duties & Skills:

We are looking for a skilled, career-minded individual to join our team. You must possess excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills and abilities, and can multitask within an energetic and fast-paced working environment. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated abilities in the following areas:

  • Create designs, quotes, and orders using the company software, while following established policies and procedures,
  • Pro-active, highly organized, customer-focused, results-driven, and detail-oriented professional, with a demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-dollar-driven environment,
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a team setting. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are considered essential,
  • Can listen and communicate effectively about sales and design while considering the product and budgetary requirements of customers and their preferred timelines,
  • Haveproven ability to always provide exceptional customer service,
  • Able to learn quickly about design trends and products while utilizing technology to maximize results.
  • Possess adaptive, personalized selling and closing skills and techniques,


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in working with computers and specifically with Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications is an essential requirement. Experience working with CAD software is also considered a strong asset,
  • Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
  • A college diploma in Interior Design with a minimum of 2-3 years start to finish sales & design experience is considered essential,
