Reporting to the Director, Project Development & Collaborative Delivery, the Lean Coordinator will promote a collaborative culture within our organization; through the development and facilitation of workshops and foundational training, the Lean Coordinator will support leaders and operations teams in the adoption and application of Lean best practices.
Responsibilities

• Drive cultural change by championing a Lean mindset, empirical-based decision making, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a coach and mentor to operational teams, fostering respect for people and promoting a humble approach to problem-solving.
• Write and implement procedures that document changes resulting from Lean initiatives to ensure effective implementation and sustaining efforts.
• Align with the local Lean rewards & recognition program.
• Partner with teams and leaders to establish an atmosphere of trust, analyze current processes, identify obstacles, and design strategies to improve ways of working, including the integration of digital tools.
• Contribute to the design and creation of our Lean best practices, including the co-creation and maintenance of learning and development materials, tools, and templates.
• Collaborate with the Lean Coach to sustain a Lean culture across various projects with a shared Lean vision and strategy.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant combination of education and experience, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
• Experience in the construction industry an asset
• 1+ years of experience coaching, training and/or mentoring others through Lean practices
• Thrives in a team environment where no one day looks the same.
• Critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions
• Comfortable problem-solving in a highly collaborative setting
• Self-starter with strong communication skills and an ability to build/maintain connections across the company. You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues
