React Frontend Engineer - Freelance [Remote]

• LOCATION: Remote - Work from anywhere (TimeZone: PST/CIST | Partial overlap)
• HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $40 – $50/hr
• JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)
• ESTIMATED DURATION: 25h/week - Long term

THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements
Candidates must be able to overlap their workday with Pacific Time (PST)
Must Haves:

• Strong communication skills - proficient in both written and verbal English
• Experience with auditing and refactoring existing frontend patterns
• Capable of leading/enforcing design patterns and frontend architecture
• Experience in consumer interface, product, and implementation design
• Bonus: Experience with Vanilla Extract, React 18, Next.js SSR/CSR/Static Rendering patterns, Middleware
• Possess the ability to see, flag, and fix issues as they come up
• Strong experience with React and component architecture
• Autonomy and independent thought
• Strong opinions on third-party solutions like state management

What you’ll be working on
You will be in charge of front end design from idea through final live product. You should be very hands on and autonomous with a keen eye for design.
