Frontend Developer & Web Designer

We're hiring an intermediate-level front-end web designer/developer to join our growing creative team. If you’re passionate about web design and frontend customization of CMS solutions like WordPress, if you’re interested in taking a leading role in web design and builds for a wide range of clients, and if you’re looking to collaborate with a team of talented, energetic designers, copywriters and digital strategists, this is the position for you.

We’re looking for a self-starter with attention to detail who can take ownership of their work and contribute ideas, solutions, and strategies to support website design and development for key creative, branding and marketing projects. Someone willing to roll up their sleeves to work on everything from long-term builds to day-to-day updates and maintenance.

What you can expect:

• Designing and building various types of websites ranging from full-scale business sites to custom landing pages for advertising campaigns.
• Developing wireframes, information architecture, and web designs and providing recommendations on UX/UI.
• Meeting with and presenting to clients and maintaining positive and collaborative internal and external relationships.
• Supporting the design and development of email marketing campaigns for clients.
• Collaborating with the creative team in researching, proposing, and developing creative concepts for online campaigns, websites, and platforms.
• Troubleshooting issues and bugs and coming up with solutions to fix them.
• Working directly with our Creative and Art Directors, designers, copywriters, and strategists to help bring our clients’ brands and stories to life on their websites.
• Ensuring all online communications leverage and consistently implement brand, industry, and digital best practices.
• Supporting with email marketing builds including HTML design on various email marketing platforms.

We’re looking for:

• Familiarity with backend CMS platforms (eg. WordPress)
• Great communication and collaboration skills
• Post-secondary education in Digital/Interactive Design or equivalent
• Familiarity with common development languages including HTML / PHP / CSS / JS/ VUE/
• 3-5 years of practical experience
• A strong web design portfolio with an emphasis on digital media and mobile-first web experiences
• Confidence, clarity, and creative ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
