Web Designer L3 Jobs

Our client is seeking Web Designer services on an as and when needed basis. Tasks:

• Develop interactive prototypes showing basic form and functionality used for both usability testing and presentations
• Design high-usability web pages to meet the business requirements, including adhering to official languages and accessibility standards
• Define assumptions and constraints of architecture with regard to physical structure and data collection
• Develop code based upon design and requirements documents
• Perform architectural modeling to ensure consistency of the design with existing work
• Monitor the need for design changes as the project progresses
• Ensure functionalities have been implemented according to specifications
• Design/develop prototypes and high-usability web pages as directed by Development Lead (daily activity)
• Assess the impact of new requirements on existing web applications
• Define architecture to be used in the web-based projects
• Support and use the selected departmental methodologies.
• Unit test the code prior to releasing it for integration testing
• Support and expand CIHR web design standards and guidelines
• Develop post-implementation plan for monitoring/tracking design stability;
• Conduct and document impact assessments of new requirements on existing web applications as directed (daily activity)
• Develop test plans for testing the system
• Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
• Create and apply designs that maximize usability of existing objects
• Conduct usability assessments and review systems for adherence to required web accessibility standards (daily activity)
• Collaborate and conduct usability workshops

Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience supporting web applications using the two (2) following technologies:
• Minimum of five (5) years of work experience within the last eight (8) years in evaluating web applications in terms of their usability, accessibility, visual design, content, and branding and providing recommendations to improve user experience.
• Enhanced security clearance
• Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience within the last fifteen (15) years in analyzing system and business requirements to develop wireframes, visual mock-ups, layouts, user interface elements and final graphics assets based on established guidelines and best practices for use in web, mobile, tablet and desktop applications.
• HTML
• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Web Designer on teams with a minimum of three (3) developers.
• CSS
