The Quarry Engineer will Provide mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies, such as scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and NI 43-101 technical reports. Convert Long Term mine plan into medium and short-range execution. Attend daily coordination meetings with production.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Developing waste dump schedules and dumping plans.
• Designing mine infrastructures, ventilation systems, backfill systems and mining services.
• Performing monthly reconciliation of grade / tones. Determine optimal stockpile use and inventory.
• Preparing technical specifications based on input received from other disciplines.
• Preparing mining CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
• Preparing and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertise.
• Developing detailed mine designs and schedule/sequences (monthly, daily, weekly mining plans). Develop and optimize drill and blast designs.
• Completing monthly mine production reporting and comparisons to budget.
• Preparing mining equipment specifications and assist with mining equipment procurement.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional and technical manner.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to optimize operational practices.
• Ability to oversee long term mining plan.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in open pit or other mining projects.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mining Engineering (or related discipline).
