Frontend Engineer (Junior Frontend Developer)

Sangoma Meet team is looking for a Frontend Developer with a can-do attitude and self-motivation for participating in the development of a geo-distributed and highly available video platform. Working closely with our UI/UX architect, this role will contribute to build easy to use features that would simply make our customer’s life easier. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing responsive, high performance, reliable React-based web applications targeting both mobile devices and desktop clients.

We leverage several open-source software written in different languages for the various part of our solution, so the ideal candidate will be a generalist and polyglot that can navigate through the different stacks and address issues concerning the system as a whole.

You Are Great At

• Conduct an ongoing user research
• Participate in how our enterprise grade SaaS solutions are built, deployed, and operated in a true Agile setting supported by senior developers, testers, and product managers
• Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps prototype and screen flows
• Design and develop responsive, high performance, reliable React-based web applications targeting both mobile devices and desktop clients.
• Prototype new ideas and run experiments to identify features that users love
• Contribute to the design and improvement of web features and projects
• Deliver high fidelity UI assets which can be easily translated to UI components
• Optimize existing user interface designs based on market trends
• Understand business goals and objectives

What It Takes (Must Haves)

• Good knowledge in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and React.
• Experience with version control tools, preferably git.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in design/development of web applications.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Deep knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Figma
• Good understanding of WebSockets and HTTPS protocol
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools

• Experience with end-to-end release and deployment of web applications.
• Strive to create and maintain clean code and engage in peer code reviews
