Position

We are looking for a bright-eyed, aspiring application developer to work within a small nimble development team. In this position, you will contribute to both development and operations of a small and existing cloud application, and will code on fast-paced, high energy, and exploratory product development team.

For this position, we require an Engineering degree, a Computer Science, or related degree and whatever development experience you have. We would also want to talk to you if you're looking for co-op or an internship.

While you may not have the extensive experience we're looking for, we are looking for the passion to learn and experiment. We would expect you to have contributed to projects - class, side, personal or paid. We would also expect you to have knowledge of current and new trends in web technology.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and coding fast, secure, and scalable applications
• Using cloud computing services and approaches with AWS
• Contributing to multiple development projects to achieve real world objectives
• Coding and scripting using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Research, develop and implement the latest technologies with AWS

Skills:

• Source Control, Automated Build and Continuous integration
• Experience in writing maintainable and scalable CSS and HTML
• Proficient in modern JavaScript coding, testing and debugging
• Strong interest in user-centric design and usability
• Some knowledge of AWS Services including: EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, API Gateway
• Minimum Viable Product Development
• Basic understanding of Relational databases (MySql, MSSql) and other non-structured data sources
• Agile & Scrum project management techniques

Experience:

• 0-2 years of software development experience
• Experience working with one or many current cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
