Paradise Developments is looking for a Project Supervisor in low rise residential who is responsible for the day-to-day construction and site operation from excavation to closing, ensuring that all work is completed on time, on budget, and to Paradise Developments' standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Supervise Construction Activities: oversee and manage day-to-day construction operations on the site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
-Team Management: Lead, Motivate, and coordinate a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel, delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
-Quality Control: Ensure that construction work meets or exceeds quality standards seta by the project plans and specifications, conducting regular inspections and quality checks.
-Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote adherence to all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on the construction site.
-Communication and Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, facilitating effective communication and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
-Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project managers to develop construction schedules, work plans, and strategies, and implement them effectively to achieve project objectives.
-Material and Equipment management: Coordinate with suppliers, ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, and maintain an inventory to support construction activities on site.
-Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including daily progress reports, site diaries, incident reports, and other relevant documentation as required by the project management team.
-Budget and Cost Control: Monitor construction expenses, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to ensure project profitability.
-Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the construction site, develop mitigation strategies., and implement appropriate measures to minimize downtime.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
-Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry building townhomes, semi-detached, and detached singles.
-Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety standards.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
-Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
-Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
-Sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
