Project Manager, Controls Jobs

About The Position

Currently, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our Building Automation Controls team in the BC Interior or North, reporting to the Operations Manager, Technologies.

This position can be based at any Houle location in the BC Interior or North, including Prince George, Kamloops, Kelowna and Kitimat.

The successful candidate will work closely with field teams (and technicians (designers, programmers) to achieve project performance, budget and schedule targets. They will be responsible for providing client communications, project progress reports and labour forecasting.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
• Work onsite with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review the project documents, and assess success and challenges, once the project is complete
• Arrange for project manuals to be completed
• Identify potential business opportunities
• Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and sent to the owner
• Manage all areas of the project including, contract management, financials, schedules, labour requirements, materials, deficiencies, etc.
• Estimate changes, complete required paperwork and ensure that the job is billed out Houle is paid
• Review reports and provide analytics to project team

Project Manager Qualifications

• Experience working within the Technology Industry and familiarity with local consultants and engineers preferred
• 3-5 years project management experience with relevant education/training. PMP certification an asset.
• Strong English language and communication skills
• Must be organized and able to manage many projects at one time
• Must have strong conflict resolution skills and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license in good standing with access to a personal vehicle
• Risk management, change management and contract administration knowledge preferred
• Must have excellent team work and strong interpersonal skills
• Solid technical knowledge of Building Automation Controls with trades qualification as an asset
• Strong computer skills required including proficiency with MS Office, Procore and Accubid
