Project Manager – Autism Program - 104765
Position Status: Temporary Full Time
Unit Summary:
The McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services have strong links to McMaster University’s Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and the Offord Centre for Child Studies
Position Summary:
Working within the McMaster Children's Hospital Autism Program, the Project Manager will provide leadership and project management support for the continued implementation of fee-based service offerings within the McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program to ensure a sustainable launch of OAP Core Clinical Services. The Project Manager will support the Clinical Manager and the MCH Autism Program Leadership team in the advancement of innovation, quality improvement, process refinement, superior customer service, and clinical resource and space utilization, within the MCH Autism Program fee-based program. The Project Manager will complete ongoing market analysis, including engagement with internal and external stakeholders to help inform service offerings as well as monitor progress through Key Performance Metrics. The Project Manager will support working groups identified to support the implementation and refinement of fee-based service offerings. The Project Manager will prepare for, participate in, and present at meetings with internal and external partners.
Schedule Work Hours:
Monday to Friday; days (some evenings and occasional weekend work may be required). This position is temporary until March 2024.
Qualifications
1. Undergraduate Degree in health administration, business administration or a related field.
2. Project management certificate or lean six sigma training preferred.
3. Demonstrated expertise in project management, quality improvement, and change management methodology required.
4. Demonstrated experience leading successful business improvement initiatives and in developing evaluation systems.
5. Knowledge gleaned by managing complex projects throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Strong team building, relationship building, consensus-building skills and commitment to customer service.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, time management and stress management skills required.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution and negotiation required.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
10. In-depth knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, presentation and project management software.
11. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
12. Fluency in French will be considered an asset

Salary: $44.75 - $57.37
