The Role: Payroll Clerk


As the Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible to partner with our Payroll Administrator to deliver a high-quality customer service experience to our employees. You will support the collection, processing and verification of payroll and timesheet data. Required Skills And Qualifications


  • You have strong communication and customer service skills
  • You are highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to problem solve.
  • You have 2+ years’ experience supporting full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees in Canada.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • You are able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • You have experience using MS Excel in an intermediate capacity (formulas, filter, VLOOKUP, pivot table) to provide detailed reporting & analytics.


Bonus Skills And Qualifications


  • You are a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), or working towards being one.


What Success looks like in this role


  • You will stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws, and ensure compliance in payroll processing.
  • You will provide support to the Payroll Administrator as required to provide excellent customer support to employees.
  • You will verify and reconcile all employee submitted timesheets for accuracy and completeness and follow up as required.
  • You will prepare and process reconciliations for benefit premiums, payroll deductions and taxable benefits.
  • You will onboard employees into payroll including verifying new hire documentation for accuracy and completeness and providing relevant assistance to employees as required.
  • You will provide support to the Payroll Administrator processing semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried payroll for Canadian and US employees.
