The Insurance Operations teams are impacted by many projects every year, many with the goal of moving us forward along our journey to be a digital leader with superior customer service. The Operations Business Enablement team is looking for a Business Analyst to support projects in our Distributor Services (Commissions & Compensation) team. Our job is to make it easier for our Operations partners to do their jobs. If you are motivated, collaborative and thrive in a project environment, we need you!


What role will I play?


As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with a team of analysts, trainers, and business partners to deliver projects, with strong focus on business readiness. Your contributions will ensure our business teams are able to embrace project deliverables without negatively impacting their productivity.


You possess an excellent balance of analytical, communication, and process design skills. You are comfortable asking questions and challenging others to ensure we understand the details, and how they will impact Distributor Services. You know how to build successful relationships with your coworkers and mesh naturally in an environment with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams.


As Business Analyst, You Will Be Responsible For


  • Using your analytical and critical thinking skills to ask questions, understand our business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision via detailed business requirements.
  • Preparing our business partners for changes that are introduced and articulating what it will mean for them specifically.
  • Influencing your teammates with your positive attitude and passion for your role!
  • Using your strong communication skills to collaborate with working groups and document business needs.
  • Capitalizing on your ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen your partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding the business impacts of projects. There will be heavy focus on determining the impacts to our business processes and building new or revised processes to enable our business partners to deliver seamlessly after project launch.


What We Are Looking For


  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with ability to adjust for different audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required. Power Point, Confluence, and JIRA experience would be an asset.
  • Experience with process mapping and/or process design
  • Ability to foster positive relationships and effectively lead various sized groups to attain collaborative and innovative solutions
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience in business analysis. Experience in Financial Services, especially commissions & compensation would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills while working in a face-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Adaptable and great aptitude for change; reprioritize conflicting workloads and deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, will be considered as an asset

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role is listed below.


Primary Location


CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote


Salary range is expected to be between


$55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
