Primary Responsibilities


The primary responsibility for the position is to assist the Customer Development Management team and will be exposed to all aspects of the business including Sales, Account Management and Brand Development. The position will support the National Customer Development Team in both Warehouse and DSD business. This entry level position will be actively involved in building positive retailer and vendor relationships and will actively participate in Customer Development Team process improvement initiatives. Essential Functions


  • Aid with product launches at new and growing accounts.
  • Work with Retail Development Team to ensure all Territory Associates are informed of all store level initiatives.
  • Back up support of daily Purchase Orders when Supply Chain Coordinator as required.
  • Maintain all internal documents and file folders.
  • Organize all required samples.
  • A desire to advance your career within sales.
  • Support Team lead in presentations to customers.
  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
  • Assist in promotional analysis, ROI calculations and forecasting.
  • Manage all Account Specific portals with a particular focus on Retail Link for Walmart.
  • Maintain safe work practices and safeguards all confidential company information.
  • Manage internal promotional tracking portal including attachment of all financial and inventory requirements.
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparation of Sales Presentations and Sell Sheets for Team Lead.


Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude


  • Excellent planning skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and able to work independently of direct supervision.
  • Emphasis placed on organization skills and ability to distil large amounts of information.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be tactful, mature and flexible with good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel and Power Point; focus on intermediate Excel skills.
  • High energy level, comfortable and ability to establish creditability and be decisive but be able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
  • University degree in business, marketing, or equivalent and 1 year of working experience in a CPG environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
