Job Description
Peninsula Construction Inc, a division of RSG International, is a leader in the road safety infrastructure sector. Established in 1980, we are committed to installing road safety products with the highest level of safety, expertise, and customer service to help create roadways in Ontario.


Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Coordinator is responsible for overseeing contract administration and providing project management support.


Responsibilities


  • Review and manage risk and liability from a constructability perspective.
  • Identify and manage change in scope.
  • Assist with drafting project-related correspondence and reports.
  • Manage material orders, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Department to provide quotations for extra work requests on existing projects and negotiate final change orders.
  • Prepare progress payment certificates.
  • Utilize web-based contract management software (Kahua, Ariba, Aurigo, Aconex) for efficient contract administration.
  • Familiarize oneself with the overall project scope and provide the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (accounting, operations, safety, etc.) to ensure effective communication and execution of projects.
  • Identify potential changes in scope of work and constructability issues prior to project execution.
  • Compile pre-construction project submissions.
  • Provide overall project handover to project managers and operations.
  • Manage project timelines and milestones.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule crews for repairs.
  • Read, understand, and track all contract documents.


Qualifications


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Prior experience with Ontario Provincial Standards and other MTO Technical Publications an asset
  • Post-Secondary Education, preferably Construction Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Technology
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • 1-2 years’ experience within Contract Administration or Project Management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Projects, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with MTO contracts an asset
  • Drafting experience with a proficiency in AutoCAD an asset
