Job Summary
Coordinates property management and operational requirements under real estate agreements on behalf of the City as the landlord and tenant.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for tenant and landlord issues related to property management, improvements, alterations and other operational matters.
  • Act as main point of contact for building emergencies.
  • Assist in analysing problems with properties and finding the best solution for tenants or landlords.
  • Ensures work is carried out by tenants related to their maintenance obligations and that legislated and contractual obligations are being met by both parties to an agreement.
  • Performs other functions as assigned from time to time.
  • Conducts site visits as required.
  • Maintains records pertinent to tenant/landlord information, insurance, etc.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Minimum of five years of education and experience in the property management field
  • Strong customer service, time management and organizational skills
  • Preferred – Accreditation or working toward accreditation either through BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) or IFMA (International Facilities Management Association). Designations such as Certified Property Manager (CPM)
  • Knowledge of building code, lease administration, contracts, heritage designation and general lease terms and conditions usually acquired from experience or education. – REIC (Real Estate Institute of Canada)
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 41.11 - $ 54.81
Hours of Work: 35
