National Accounts Manager (2301691) – Calgary, AB Where the Chemistry Happens… As the National Accounts Manager reporting to the Vice President, Agricultural Solutions Canada, you will lead a team of 4 people that develop, direct, and implement BASF’s national accounts strategy for seed and crop protection in Canada with key distributors. You will represent Agricultural Solutions Canada and be responsible for the leadership and professional representation of BASF with these customers, as well as strategic business and financial plan development, implementation and internal communications throughout the organization. Formula for Success: You Will… Lead the development of the National Accounts strategy. Lead the Strategic Account Management (SAM) team and with this team, direct and lead the implementation of BASF’s strategy with distributors. This will include strategic business and financial plan development, implementation and internal communications throughout the organization. Establish and maintain strong business relationships throughout the distributor organization, ensuring BASF is positioned as a strategic and preferred supplier and ensuring SAMs function as the key liaison between our channel partners and the BASF Sales Team and other BASF functions. Coaching and mentoring SAM team members, including supporting their personal development planning.



Qualifications


Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You… Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture business or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years sales/marketing management experience. Proven track record of success selling to distributors. Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen. Demonstrated understanding of the agriculture market (specifically the relationship of the supplier/channel partner/grower within this market). Ability to lead and coach sophisticated sales team. Ability to guide and influence others while building sustainable relationships, both within the BASF sales organization and within our channel partner community. Demonstrated Sales, marketing and strategy development experience, as well as a solid understanding of marketing, sales and accounting principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess strong analytical skills, communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, excellent strategic and critical thinking.
