The Group Account Director (GAD) secures, manages and directs client business within the agency. They are responsible for overall account performance and growth and oversee multiple account teams while working in tandem with other agency disciplines to ensure mutual client and agency success. The GAD is committed to the success of their clients and balances that with the ability to guard the interest of the agency as a whole.


Responsibilities


  • Understands general markets and identifies unseen opportunities for clients
  • Responsible for overall account performance, growth, and profitability
  • Acts as client’s business partner by maintaining comprehensive understanding of their business and marketing strategy
  • Directs and manages Account team, and ensures appropriate team utilization
  • Responsible for financial oversight of account (Contracts, SOWs, Pre-billing, Invoice approval, Time reporting/approvals, Reconciliations, Expense reports, Accounts Receivables, Utilization targets, Profitability targets)
  • Provides appropriate guidance and direction, and nurtures account teams’ professional development
  • Timeliness/constructiveness of account team appraisals/reviews
  • Ensures the agency consistently delivers measurable value for the services that are provided
  • Demonstrates exceptional strategic and analytic skills
  • Translates information, research and data into insights and insights into actionable plans
  • Builds and maintains positive and enduring client relationships across multiple levels including senior executives
  • Leads negotiation of client proposals
  • Is proactive in making strategic recommendations and cross-promoting value-added services


Qualifications


  • 8+ years of experience in account management
  • Proven experience in managing multiple clients, a digital native who is comfortable building integrated campaigns and leading diverse teams
  • Demonstrated financial responsibility and management
  • Broad range of experience across business categories and communications media
  • Solid reputation, support with examples of; negotiating skills, talent development, and delivering growth by identifying and building business opportunities.
