Summary
The Service and Repair Manager is responsible to plan, organize, schedule, direct, and manage the Service and Repair operations. They are responsible for driving results related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery by developing short and long-term planning strategies. They will coordinate the Repair team to meet customer requirements and work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure targets are met.
Requirements
Secondary school diploma, GED or equivalent required
Post-Secondary Diploma, Degree, or Certification in industrial technologies, hydraulic systems, mechanics, millwright, or electronics an asset
Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising or managing in Service and Repair environment required
Hydraulic Cylinder experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge of ERP or MRP software required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient use of computer systems and software applications
Highly organized with strong time management skills
Knowledge of process-driven operations preferred
Advanced knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings and specifications in support of quality requirements
Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales
Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment required to do the job
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write English
Highly organized and self-motivated
Must be adaptable to changing work environments and competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes or delays.
