A well-established medical clinic in the Vaughan area is looking for an experienced Medical Office Administrator to join their team. This clinic is well known for their warm, welcoming and modern environment, and for putting patients first in everything they do! The Medical Office Administrator acts as the first point of contact for every new and returning patient - in this position, you will play a key role in providing white glove service and supporting patient wellness.
This permanent position is perfect for someone who has a strong medical administration background and enjoys working as part of a team. We are looking for qualified Medical Office Administrators in the Vaughan area with availability to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Medical Office Administrator:
  • Managing physician calendars and working closely with clinical staff
  • Answering patient inquiries over the phone
  • Greeting and registering patients
  • Booking and rescheduling patient appointments
  • Accepting payments by credit card, private insurance, and entering OHIP billing
  • Preparing patient charts, reports and updating medical records in EMR
  • Triaging incoming requests and prioritizing urgent cases
Qualifications
What you need to succeed in this Medical Office Administrator role:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to put patients at ease
  • Proficient in MS Office and EMR programs (Telus Health CHR is an asset, but any EMR experience is easily transferrable)
  • 3-5 years experience in a patient-facing role within a clinic or healthcare setting
  • Friendly, reliable and adaptable
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a client-oriented environment
