MARKETING AND PROPOSAL SPECIALIST #610

Our client, a design firm in downtown Toronto, is looking to add a Marketing and Proposal Specialist to their team. This position is paying a salary of $60 - $80k, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits and vacation package.

There is an immediate opening for a Marketing and Proposal Specialist to join their Toronto-based, award-winning architecture studio. They’re on the lookout for a marketing and business development professional to play an integral role in sustaining the practice and advancing its growth; with the versatility to work effortlessly between strategic planning, new business pursuits, proposal writing, and media outreach.

Specializing in public facility design, this firm offers fully integrated, multidisciplinary consulting services in architecture and interior design. They are recognized in particular for design excellence in higher education and known for their distinct work in the field of food and culinary arts.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Highly developed graphic sensibility is an asset
• Creative and self-motivated individual with super enviable organizational skills
• Nimbleness and ability to balance multiple deadlines against competing priorities
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office on MAC/PC
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a design services or AEC environment
• Highly developed business acumen
• Degree in Architecture, Design, Communications, Writing or Journalism
• Familiarity with website CMS (content management system)
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Flexibility to work independently or as a team

Working collaboratively with the Partners, the marketing and business development team is responsible for:

• Website maintenance and social media engagement;
• Ensuring brand strength and alignment across multiple channels and all touch points;
• Wide range of graphic communications assignments, including proposals, presentations, awards submissions, publications, and marketing collateral, in print, digital, and/or web;
• Client, consultants, and collaborators relations;
• Business procurement to support short and long-term business goals, including tracking business leads, identifying new market and business opportunities, and managing RFP/RFQ pursuits;
• Press and media communications;
• Photography coordination and database management
• Written content for proposals, awards, and media outreach;
• Projects’ visual documentation;
