Job Description
Role Impact:


The Marketing Analyst (Intelligence) will support the Head Office and Regional Marketing teams by measuring and analyzing program results to evaluate success and recommend opportunities for optimization.


Working with the Marketing Intelligence Manager, the incumbent will develop and execute program measurement plans across key Marketing initiatives. Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • In addition to the main areas of responsibility, the Marketing Intelligence Analyst will also support in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of customer data to inform Marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Also, work closely with the Data & Technology team to brief and implement analytics dashboard requirements (i.e., Tableau dashboards).
  • Developing measurement plans based on business objectives with business owners (i.e., identifying relevant KPIs and targets),
  • Working with cross-functional teams to brief measurement tool needs (i.e., customer surveys), and coding, reporting, and analyzing results.
  • Strong analysis and data visualization will be key to successful story telling of insights and recommendations.


What you will deliver:
  • Document and present key findings
  • Support Marketing Intelligence Manager in collection and interpretation of data outside of Measurement workstream, which may include conducting foundational research analysis (i.e., Customer Segments), compiling seasonal market scans and trends, and performing ad-hoc, program specific research and analysis.
  • Support the measurement strategy & planning process by identifying objectives & key success metrics and defining measurement approach & requirements
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process changes to improve efficiencies and support our strategic objectives
  • Execute a roadmap for program measurement and analysis within area of responsibility
  • Proactively highlight opportunities to develop, enhance or remove existing tools and processes, and support the gathering and documentation of such processes
  • Ensure data accuracy
  • Data analysis in Google Sheets (i.e., Pivot tables, creating charts for data visualization, etc.)
  • Outline data capture and integration needs for larger programs (i.e., Holiday) based on measurement plan and conduct briefing of relevant cross-functional teams
  • Manage end to end campaign reporting in Google Sheets for smaller programs, including designing report template, ensuring business owners input results on time and accurately, and creating formulas to populate Executive Summary tab
  • Code open-ended survey responses as needed
  • Conduct all aspects of data analysis for marketing initiatives, including:
  • Implement visualizations, reports, dashboards based on reporting requirements and measurement plan
  • Prepare content for analytic reports and presentations
  • Turn business questions into functional analysis - understand the business as well as the data behind the analysis
  • Identify and centralize all sources of data for analysis

  • Ability to analyze data, look for patterns, and translate data into actionable insights are assets for this role.


What you need to succeed:


  • Project management experience is helpful
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (i.e., PivotTable, VLOOKUP, INDEX, etc.), PowerPoint/ Google Slides
  • Experience in data visualization software - Tableau
  • Experience in other data visualization and analytics tools – Adobe Analytics & Adobe Campaign preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Economics, Analytics, Business, Math, or Computer Science Minimum 3 years of data science, marketing, or analytics experience
  • Experience with Regression analysis, predictive modeling (R or similar) preferred
  • Experience in measuring return on investment of digital and offline tactics, assisting with strategic planning of marketing campaigns through flexing analytics and measurement approach preferred
