Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Reliability Asset Performance Manager to lead a proficient team of analysts responsible for the performance monitoring and optimizing of Liberty Power’s renewable energy assets. This role is responsible for utilizing data analytics, project management, and innovation skills to enhance asset performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will effectively apply analytical solutions, understand results, and communicate findings to other business units, focusing on continuous improvement. Additionally, this position provides reports and status updates to senior management through risk vetting and operational committees.
Accountabilities
  • Utilize project management methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of direct reports, including asset performance analysts and engineers.
  • Identify training and development needs of the asset performance team.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to optimize asset performance, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risks.
  • Encourage the exploration and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in asset performance and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate performance trends, improvement opportunities, and challenges specific to the wind and solar energy sectors to drive decision-making and prioritize initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and analysis to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless implementation of performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset performance in the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the asset performance team, with a specific focus on the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • Ensure renewable energy assets comply with relevant regulations and take proactive steps to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performance monitoring system to track the performance of wind and solar energy assets.
  • Set performance goals, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to collect, analyze, and interpret performance data from wind and solar energy assets.
  • Implement predictive analytics models to anticipate and prevent potential performance issues.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities to enhance team members' technical skills, data analytics capabilities, and project management expertise specific to the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee asset performance improvement projects in the wind and solar energy sectors, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in wind and solar energy.
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports and present findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
Education and Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts and insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in asset performance management, preferably in the wind and solar energy sectors,
  • Strong innovation mindset, with the ability to identify and implement new technologies, methodologies, and best practices specific to the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing a team of direct reports and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Solid project management skills, with experience in planning, executing, and monitoring performance improvement projects in the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of wind and solar energy technologies, including performance factors, monitoring systems, and relevant industry standards.
  • Familiarity with asset management software and tools specific to the wind and solar energy sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, data analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in data analytics, including advanced statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling. Proficiency in relevant tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to renewable energy asset performance and compliance in the wind and solar energy sectors.
