Experience working with small to medium-sized (<250 employees) oil and gas engineering services (EPC) firms.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.

Accredited Engineering diploma or degree (Petroleum, Chemical, Process, Industrial, Mechanical or related).

Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), Provisional Licensee, Professional Licensee (P.L.Eng.) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.

15+ years of senior level experience in facilities management, in biotechnology, and/or pharmaceutical industry

Develop and validate with senior management, strategies and plans for achieving 5-year goals

Performs Global Industry Benchmarking of Asset Management and Reliability trends, methods, and KPI’s

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Facilities and Asset Management Association (FAMA)

Technical operations and facilities management industry best practices

Develop and manage teams responsible for building systems, equipment, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.

Previous asset management experience is a plus.

Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, markets, suppliers, customers. Understand and communicate competitive landscape, product availability and pricing trends.

Analyze inventory levels based on previous day’s activity to identify and action necessary adjustments (purchases) including rush buys for factory stock.

Strong communication and presentation skills, conflict resolution, budgeting, cost control, time management

Manage contracts and agreements: Railcar leases, master service agreements, storage, switching, and service contracts for railcar tracking, reporting and maintenance management

3-6 years of asset management, business, and mechanical design

Fleet sizing: Optimize fleet using annual and quarterly review of fleet requirements based on production, sales and inventory requirements.

Rail fleet acquisition: Negotiate lease rates, term, purchase costs with established industry contacts for new and used railcar

College Diploma in Mechanical Design, Supply Chain or Business is Preferred

Three-Five years of experience with job quotes and project management 

Management of site turnover documentation

Spare parts management (procurement and inventory)

Corrective maintenance strategy (change order management, fixed price projects, etc.)

Ticket management, escalation and close out

Capital expenditure/Operational expenditure recommendations and management

7 years of working experience in facility management

Sound knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures

Strong interpersonal, time-management, verbal, written and presentation skills

Project Management Professional (PMP®) or similar designation is an asset

7 years of working experience with skilled trade and custodial services

Certified Facility Manager is an asset

Ensure the smooth running of basic facility operations, checking that they are up to institutional standards and regulatory requirement.

Manage the campus facilities budget.

Manage and delegate administrative services such as cleaning, maintenance, safety inspections, security, and weather-related matters.

Manage campus room bookings. Supports the Registrar by ensuring classroom and ensures room set up.

You are a high energy, self-starter and possess excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

3+ years of asset management planning experience

Asset management software experience, preferably AssetPlanner Asset Planning Module

Asset life cycle management experience

Asset Planning Module Data Integrity and Management, incl. Facility Elements, Signage, Banking & Physical Security Equipment
