The Role
The Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies and programs for Vantage. Initiatives include brand collateral development, media relations activities, marketing campaigns, event management, and digital and traditional content creation and management.
Working with the marketing team and internal and external stakeholders, the Marketing & Communications Manager will support the design, development and distribution of consistent messaging and branding that support Vantage’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writes and edits media materials and editorial content to reflect Vantage’s brand and value proposition
- Develops marketing content and collateral to support Vantage corporate and network airport site specific needs
- Plans and executes industry events and conference attendance
- Supports proactive and reactive media relations, in partnership with Directorship Marketing & Communications and third party agencies
- Provides marketing communications support on the launch of projects or achievement of specific milestones
- Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned
- Oversees Vantage’s digital and social content strategy and day-to-day management
- Conducts research into and recommends for implementation new channels, methods and platforms to optimize marketing communications effectiveness and value
About You
- Organized and able to prioritize, with very good attention to detail
- Undergraduate university degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, at least 5 years’ experience in progressive roles; experience as part of the leadership team for an organization an asset
- Strategic, results-oriented leader with strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong media relations expertise
- Experience managing social media platforms, including content creation and analysis
- Continuous improvement mindset; open to input, new ideas and new responsibilities
- Strong project management, business, and financial acumen
- Excellent writing, editing and communications skills for both internal and external audiences
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrates high level of ownership and accountability
- Quick learner, early adapter of new methods, processes, and technologies
- A natural collaborator and team builder who is engaged and committed, with a roll-up-your sleeves approach
- Working knowledge of private sector airport / aviation or similarly complex industry an asset
- Ability to manage multiple projects, without compromising quality
