Lead Engineer Jobs

We seek an Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate multiple projects across diverse groups. Your primary focus will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for researching and developing innovative products, creating project budgets, and overseeing their successful execution throughout the year. Working closely with various teams, you will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, maintaining high quality and adherence to organizational objectives. Responsibilities

• Hire contractors and build teams
• Determine the need for training and talent development
• Ensure products have the support of upper management
• Check their team’s work for technical accuracy
• Research and develop designs and products
• Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering consultant teams
• Coordinate work with other managers and staff
• Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.

Requirements and skills

• Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
• Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role in the life sciences industry
• Data analytics skills and experience
• Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
• Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus
• Strategic thinking
• Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in significant problems
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
• Proficiency in using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders
• Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel
• Math skills, including calculus and other advanced mathematics
• Relevant training and certifications as an Engineering Manager
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• PMP certification is a plus
• BS in engineering required
• Master’s degree in engineering
• 5+ years of management experience
• 10+ years of relevant work experience
