Our Montreal client has a long term contract position open for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a Mechanical and / or Aerospace Engineering degree. Must have experience in a maintenance and repair aerospace environment. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the technical standard of Civil Aerospace products by improving engineering processes and activities. Work closely with the OEM to develop technical solutions and coordinating / delivering on engineering related activities. Must be fluent in English and French to be able to communicate with personnel in Canada and Europe.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operational technical support for aerospace maintenance, repair and operations
· Support OEM on Component review development
· Change Management, Process improvement, Standardization
· Development of Engine Management Programs for cost optimization through the control of technical specifications and root cause methodology
· Finding solutions for engine type specific technical problems
· Identifying technical issues that might come up through the maintenance process
· Running investigation to identify possible repairs or replacement for parts
· Assure that procedures are provided ahead of the schedule.
General Qualifications :
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace from a recognized University
· At least 5 years of experience in a similar aerospace industry environment
· Bilingual English and French verbal and written communication skills
· Eligible for or member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
· Need to have a high level of autonomy
· Knowledge of Manufacturing engineering processes
· Experience with Gas Turbine engine projects
· Working experience in a Maintenance and Repair environment
· Knowledge of airworthiness regulations
· Component Repair and /or Aerospace experience
· Investigations on Civil aerospace products
· Knowledge of Manufacture components from different materials an asset
· Must be Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada for greater than 5 years
