goeasy is seeking an IT Help Desk Analyst to work in our new downtown Toronto Office. This individual will provide Tier 1 support, maintenance, basic network troubleshooting, and user orientation for personal computing devices, desktop software, and related peripherals to internal staff. As the successful applicant, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, IT Operations. IT Services is a department in which roles and personnel will evolve as customer needs and technologies change. Responsibilities
  • Channel and escalate technically complex problems to the appropriate resources
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Install software and computer peripherals
  • Answer the Helpdesk telephone, log calls in the services ticketing system, and assist the users in problem resolution
  • Identify when off-site repairs are required and coordinate with third party vendors
  • Facilitate user password resets
  • Perform computer equipment repairs; manage network printers and wireless connectivity
  • Coach users in the use of hardware, software and file management
  • Document best practices
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting
  • Ensure warranty and registration requirements are fulfilled
  • Provide Android/iPhone support and front-line telephone support
  • Prepare and test new computer equipment and oversee shipping to new store locations
  • Provide preliminary assessment of problems which may involve network services and escalate to Level 2 support and management if required
  • Maintain and deploy standard hardware ‘image’ to variety of hardware platforms.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to IT Services issues at large
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in basic networking troubleshooting is an asset
  • Having knowledge of Mac OS is an asset
  • Post-secondary or industry equivalent technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical support experience in a medium (100 – 500+ staff) to a large (500 - 2,000+ staff) professional organization is an asset
  • Strong English communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Experience with Windows 10, Active Directory, MS Office 365, MS SharePoint, imaging systems, updating tickets within a ticketing system (FreshWorks or others), Android, and iOS devices is an asset
  • Knowledge of SCCM is an asset
