Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the IT Application support specialist is responsible for the support of applications within the IT Service Center.
Having strong analytical skills, the IT Application support specialist is organized and can communicate clearly and effectively. As part of the IT Service Center Level 2 support team, the candidate will be responsible to support Intelcom internal users. He will work in a flexible environment that quickly adapts to customer requirements.
Our team is made up of dynamic and passionate people with a customer service-oriented approach while providing IT support to diagnose, assist and resolve issues on first contact. We are dedicated to delivering an outstanding service experience to our customers!
What does a typical working day consist of?
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve the quality of service and to prevent future problems.
  • Help develop IT Support policies and escalation procedures for the IT Service Center.
  • Train users on specific applications and document creation
  • Maintain and update technical documents and procedures related to the IT Support.
  • Contribute as a resource person in the resolution of complex problems with end users, if necessary.
  • Answer queries and resolve issues with software applications and escalate or close tickets as necessary.
  • Provide expertise and technical knowledge about an application or suite of applications.
  • Any other related task.
  • Provide support for daily operations of IT Service Center activities.
  • Investigate, respond to escalation requests and resolve issues on time.
  • Ensure a technology watch and conduct research on best industry practices to support the activities of the IT Service Center.
Profile required to ensure your success:
  • Experience with script programing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT including 2 as an Analyst.
  • Good ability to analyse, solve and monitor problems
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability in a changing environment
  • Capacity (and interest) in learning and adapting to new concepts, technologies and environments.
  • Good organizational and priority skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with DataBase
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Attention to detail and ability to develop processes and bring them to maturity.
  • Experience with Jira ServiceDesk.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field (or relevant experience).
