We are seeking a service-oriented IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for our Mahoney colleagues. This will start as an on-site position. - System Administration: Administer user accounts, security settings, and access permissions within accounting software and related systems. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for data privacy and confidentiality.
- IT Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay informed about relevant accounting industry regulations and compliance requirements such as data privacy, financial reporting standards, and cybersecurity practices. Assist in implementing necessary policies, controls, and processes to maintain compliance.
- Help Desk Support: Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance through various channels. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues related to accounting applications and industry-specific tools.
- User Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs and materials. Create guides, and documentation to assist staff in effectively utilizing technology resources and adhering to internal processes.
Qualifications And Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software applications, and network fundamentals.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Associate degree (or equivalent or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Two plus years of experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues preferred.
