Infrastructure System Administrator Jobs

Must Haves Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years IT operations experience

• Experience as a Linux admin preferably with focus on running Linux as a hypervisor (KVM)

• Experience maintaining infrastructural services primarily using opensource solutions (ie: DNS, monitoring, backups, storage systems, load balancers)

• Experience with one orchestration tool (Puppet, Ansible, or similar)

• Basic understanding of Git

• AWS or cloud

• Other Hypervisors (eg: VMware, Nutanix)

• MS SQL Server

• Kubernetes / Linux Containers / Docker

• Ability to generate technical documentation to stakeholders with different levels of knowledge

Plusses:

• Strong communication skills with sales, operations, clients, and other key stakeholders

• Experience with any programming languages

• ZFS

• FREBSD

• Cisco Networking Equipment

• Oracle/Solaris

• Security-related tools and technologies (eg: IDS/IPS)

• Fluency in French

Day-to-Day:

The successful candidate will manage one of our client's most important data centers and who is also an effective communicator to assist our customers with their digital journey.

They will be part of the team managing IT services as well as being the focal point for our data center in North America to ensure that we have excellent operational resilience and high-quality customer delivery. The role includes managing capacity in line with predicted customer growth. You will also ensure that our operational solutions and procedures are in alignment with industry best practice.

Additionally, maintaining a strong collaboration with our sales and operations teams is important, since they will need support to make complex technical concepts (including architecture) explained both to them and to our current and future customers. Finally, the data center is ISO 27001-certified, meaning that maintaining the information security level is a crucial part of the job.
