Information Technology Infrastructure Manager

Infrastructure IT Manager – Onsite – Markham - Permanent

Responsibilities:

·Operational ownership of cloud and on-premises IT Infrastructure and collaboration platforms.

·Implement technical and/or non-technical changes to meet organizational goals in reliability and quality of services.

·Maintains and administers the IT infrastructure processes such as adding, moving, and changing to Active Directory, storage systems, Azure cloud, servers, network, application hosting, backup, server-level patching, and infrastructure security.

·Maintains and administers collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365.

·Assist senior management with the review of IT vendors in the procurement

·Help standardize organizational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs of storage and servers

·Perform IT infrastructure audit tasks and understanding of NIST

·Plan and manage all IT functions, including server and network infrastructure, business systems development and support, data management, and general IT support services.

·Support a governance structure that aligns IT application initiatives with business priorities while balancing resource constraints (human and fiscal) to optimize IT investments.

·Manage requests for proposal/services processes, determine service requirements, source vendors, determine costs and timing, negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, and monitor work/service/product quality and performance.

·Prepare and maintain operations, Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) that supports the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and Security Plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT services in the event of any disaster or failure.

·Manage all IT service partners within contracted SLAs and engage and negotiate with new partners to deliver technology roadmap and migration to cloud-based technologies.

·Participate in the design, support, and continual improvement of end-user support including Help Desk, onsite desk side, virtual desktop, application packaging/patching, mobile device support, voice/video conferencing, and IT projects.

·Directly manage and support the End User support, Network, Infrastructure, cloud services, and security components with onsite IT staff and third-party service partners.

·Identify and implement process improvements in the architecture and/or infrastructure of existing systems.

·Lead ARB process and approvals for new projects, initiatives, and future technology roadmaps

·Participate in Agile projects and lead in both business and IT project work/tasks, as required.

·Remain up to date on new and emerging technologies within the area of technical expertise and serve as a resource to the business and employees.

·Provide dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to manage, and support the support processes.

·Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes and opportunities

·Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Qualifications:

·Certification in Microsoft Azure designation considered an asset

·Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful IT management experience in Infrastructure

·University Degree from a recognized institution or equivalent formal educational program and relevant IT technical and project management experience

·Strong working knowledge of cloud computing including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google as well as Microsoft 365 (specifically MS Excel and MS Project), Google Workspace, Microsoft DevOps, and networking concepts.

·Demonstrated skill in managing Azure Cloud and costs

·Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Demonstrated experience managing or delivering IT services within outsourced and managed services environments.

·Proven expertise with Cloud-hosted technology and a thorough understanding of IT Security and networking principles and practices.

·Exposure to the Request for Proposal process as well as the due diligence process in support of acquisitions

·Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, such as facilitation, collaboration, liaising, and negotiation.

·Ability to clarify complicated technical concerns to non-technical individuals.

·Proven experience in IT project development and management.

·Experience in the telecom or utilities Industry is considered an asset

·Experience with managing and supporting AZURE, AZURE AD, AWS, and Microsoft 365 Admin

·Previous experience or knowledge of Meter Data Collection database/Software and Oracle-based billing application (CC&B/CCS) an asset

·ITIL foundation experience and certification an asset
