Information Technology Manager Jobs

Robert Half is hiring an IT manager for a Guelph organization. The IT Manager will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and technical expertise to our client's IT department. This role requires a proven track record of managing IT systems, ensuring data security, and delivering high-quality IT services. The IT Manager will play a vital role in driving the organization's digital transformation initiatives and maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.

**This role is in office 3 Days a week**

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and select IT vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
• Provide overall management and leadership to the help desk, cyber security, and system administration teams.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth functioning of help desk services, cyber security measures, and system administration activities.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify IT needs, propose solutions, and implement new technologies to optimize business processes.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, track expenses, and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Monitor and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, servers, and systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.
• Develop and execute IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's goals and industry best practices.
• Implement and enforce data security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
• Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure enhancements, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable.
• Proficient in network infrastructure design, server administration, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in managing IT projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge and experience in help desk management, cyber security, and system administration.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management + people management
