Who We Are and What We Do
The Canadian Alliance for Skills and Training in Life Sciences (CASTL) delivers on the economic and sectoral demand for individuals who are work-ready to enter, thrive and meet the needs of the fast-growing Canadian biomanufacturing industry.
CASTL delivers specialized training in biopharmaceutical manufacturing to post-secondary students and industry employees through e-learning courses, in-class and virtual theory training and hands on training. With headquarters and the first biomanufacturing training facility open in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CASTL is expanding its national network with training facilities planned for Quebec and British Columbia.
CASTL is the exclusive provider of the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research, and Training (NIBRT) licensed training programs in Canada. Based in Ireland, NIBRT develops and delivers state-of-the-art training and education programs for the world’s leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing companies and partner academic institutions. CASTL is supported by National Lead Partner adMare Academy. The adMare Academy provides the specialized training required to foster the next generation of highly qualified personnel who will drive the growth of Canadian life science companies.
What is the Unique Opportunity That Awaits You
The Engagement and Evaluation Manager is responsible for managing the development of new evaluation surveys, data analysis, reporting impact, and communicating with partners, industry, and internal stakeholders to successfully administer evaluations across CASTL training programs, facilities, and our e-learning platform including managing evaluations for a large-scale national upskilling program.

- You have relevant experience in social science, market research, or science.
- You are curious by nature with a keen ability to ask the right questions at the right time.
- You are pretty tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools and survey design and analysis tools like Survey Monkey.
Requirements
Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Industry Engagement and Evaluation Manager will have/be able to:
- Strong communications and relationship building skills to ensure data insights are a part of business decision making internally and support high survey response rates with external clients and partners.
- Able to provide succinct and clear reports on program and training impacts.
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
- Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to build evaluation frameworks.
- Contribute to successful proposals by providing background data and supporting information and drafting proposal documents.
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods for example, survey and questionnaire design and analysis, focus groups and interviews.
- Experience in conducting market research to support programming.
- Experienced user of MS Excel and/or other tool for statistical and data analysis.
- Support the overall operations of the team and collaborate with team members on projects.
- Ability to interpret complex information for a range of non-specialist audiences.
- Conducting environmental scans for relevant funding programs and providing recommendations.
