Job Description
Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is on a journey to digitize the round trip of insurance and provide insights into commercial lines business in Canada. Applied Policy Works has been the standard for Commercial Lines Brokers in Canada for many years, and we are looking for someone to help Applied take the implementation of our solutions to the next level! We are currently searching for an Implementation Specialist (Policy Works) who excels in a client-facing and leadership position to further enable the success of our broker customers. In this role, you will work directly with customers to assist with questions related to implementing our rapidly evolving Commercial Lines solutions and capabilities. You will be responsible for sustaining the highest level of client satisfaction with the implementation process as you identify the necessary activities required to complete each customer’s configuration and training and follow through to ensure that the activities are performed on time and with high quality.
What You’ll Do
  • Form strong and productive working relationships with customers, managing to keep customers on track towards achieving mutual goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions, tasks completed, project status, and action items
  • Accountable for the overall success of the Applied Policy Works functionality portion of assigned implementation projects
  • Identify and manage customer expectations, including communicating difficult/sensitive information to customer, project team, and management
  • Manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and client satisfaction
  • Train clients on how to effectively use Applied Policy Works and related workflows, and act as first line of technical support for questions during implementations
  • Manage projects for customers of varying sizes, complexities, and timelines
  • Partner with specialists and other team members to ensure completion of all deliverables across the project
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of rapidly evolving product portfolio, within Applied Policy Works and Applied’s products, as capabilities are updated/enhanced
  • Execute project plans that result in high quality delivery of implementation goals
  • Understand how to navigate obstacles and changes that may arise in plans, including identifying risks and issues
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
We’re looking for someone who loves being part of a high performing team, is passionate about the insurance business and is motivated by enabling the success of others!
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
  • Proactive, willing to take initiative, fast learner, able to lead
  • Thrives with minimal guidance and can work independently, handle ambiguity, and navigate changing requirements
  • Insurance industry experience (ideally from the agency side)
  • Strong planning and reasoning abilities; able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Demonstrates strong sense of ownership throughout the project
  • Ability to multitask in an environment with competing priorities across multiple projects
  • Experience with or ability to develop client relationship building skills and establish credibility with clients
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
Additionally, you may have:
  • Experience with Applied’s Policy Works product (preferred)
  • 1+ years project management or software implementation experience
  • Bilingual capabilities – French & English
