Human Resources Coordinator

We’re seeking a dynamic person to join our team!


Hospice Southeast New Brunswick (Hospice SENB) is a registered charity established in 2004 to promote awareness about life-limiting illnesses and end-of-life issues. The organization has a long history of delivery community programs and operating the Boutique Hospice Shoppe. In addition, in July 2021, we welcomed the first resident at the Maison Albert House, 10-bed residential hospice serving the Albert, Kent and Westmorland counties.


Hospice SENB is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to manage human resources activities, staff engagement, policies, and employee benefits in accordance with identified strategic directions, mission, vision, and core values and in collaboration with the Executive Director.


Employment Type: Full time

Location: Moncton, New Brunswick

Salary: To be negotiated


Your responsibilities:

·Oversee recruiting, training, and orientation of all new employees.

·Prepare job standards, descriptions, and selection criteria for each position.

·Create programs to foster a positive attitude and enhance performance within the organization, through developing, planning, and conducting ongoing employee development training sessions, including new hire orientation, skills training, and managerial training.

·Maximizes productivity and well-being of all employees by directing and coordinating all employee relations programs.

·Ensure compliance with corporate human resource policies and procedures as well as federal and provincial legislation.

·Maintains accurate and complete employee files.

·Counsel’s employees and supervisors in human resource issues, as needed.

·Maintains safe working conditions by ensuring all employees are orientated and follow safety rules and procedures, taking corrective action where necessary.

·Oversee employee relations, performance, grievances, benefits, and compensation.

·Foster positive staff engagement and relationships across the organization.

·Analyze statistical reports to identify and determine issues and provide recommendations for improvements.

·Other tasks as required by management.


Qualifications:


·Post-secondary education in related fields, or equivalent experience.

·Human resource designation is considered an asset.

·Proven written and oral communication skills, in both English and French

·Strong understanding of employment legislation in New Brunswick

·Experience and knowledge of WSNB

·Good understanding and working knowledge of HR policies and procedures as well as employee relations.

·High degree of ethics and integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

·Excellent interpersonal skills.

·Competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools.
