Job Description

Altis Recruitment is seeking an HR Generalist to join our client, an award winning manufacturing company, on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources, the successful incumbent will play a crucial role in supporting their employees and ensuring the smooth operation of their human resources functions.

*THIS ROLE IS ONSITE IN MARKHAM


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate the selection process.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including orientation and paperwork completion.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.


Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and performance issues in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, ensuring fair and impartial resolution.


Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of performance management processes.
  • Support managers in setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback.
  • Identify and address training and development needs to enhance employee performance and engagement.


HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and industry trends, making recommendations for policy revisions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.


Health & Safety:

  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure effective administration of employee benefits.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and assist in the development of competitive compensation structures.
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing and administration.


HR Data Management:

  • Prepare HR reports and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.
  • Support HR analytics initiatives to track and measure key HR metrics.
