About Maple

Founded in 2015, Maple is a fast-growing health tech company with a vision to power the future of healthcare by building a connected and superior experience for patients, doctors, and other types of health providers.

We offer virtual care services across multiple distribution channels, including Direct-to-Consumer ("B2C"), Employers and Private Insurers ("B2B") and Public Sector Institutions ("B2I"). With a growing network of 2,000+ healthcare providers and nearly 4 million Canadians with access to our services, Maple is one of Canada’s fastest-growing virtual care companies.

We have established an entrepreneurial culture centered around our purpose to support people’s health and well-being, and to strengthen the healthcare system. We attribute our success to our team, who has helped us achieve numerous noteworthy awards including: Globe and Mail's #6 Top Growing Companies in Canada in 2021, #2 in Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50 2021, LinkedIn's Top 10 Startups in Canada 2020, and Bay Street Bull’s The Power 50: Canada’s Most Impactful Companies 2022.

THE POSITION

In support of a high-growth mandate, we’re hiring for a Senior Associate on our Health System Partnerships team. The Health System Partnerships team works with hospitals, long-term care facilities, and regional/provincial authorities to enable bold, innovative models of care, directly addressing some of our biggest healthcare challenges across the nation. Through the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of these bespoke virtual care programs, we are able to increase access to quality, timely care for a significant segment of the Canadian population.

As a Senior Associate on the Health System Partnerships team, you'll play a key role in delivering digitally-enabled healthcare solutions to our public sector partners. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders, lead high-impact projects, and be at the forefront of advancing healthcare innovation in Canada.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Brainstorming creative solutions to address partner challenges, leveraging the capabilities of the Maple platform.
  • Facilitating workshops with key stakeholders to design future state programs and workflows for virtual care pathways.
  • Developing high-quality external-facing presentations and communicating our value proposition to program partners.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal and external teams, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Translating business requirements into platform requirements and setting up custom platform configurations.
  • Overseeing post-implementation program performance and conducting data-driven analyses.
  • Leading and executing key projects for Maple's Health System Partnerships segment, delivering innovative healthcare solutions to public sector partners.
  • Independently leading training sessions and designing reference materials for program staff and stakeholders.

Critical to success will be your strong sense of ownership, proactive problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You are a solution-oriented and agile learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about technology, and excels at delivering results that empower our healthcare mission.

Note: a healthcare or clinical background is not required for this position, however, it may be considered an asset depending on the level of experience.

12 – 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES

  • To realize the company’s growth mandate, within the first 90 days, you will focus on building a strong foundation by immersing yourself in our team and client processes, understanding ongoing projects, and establishing collaborative relationships. You will actively contribute expertise to projects and familiarize yourself with relevant tools and platforms.
  • In the next 12 to 18 months, you will begin leading new initiatives and projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and achieve successful project outcomes. Your growing expertise will position you as a subject matter expert within the HSP team, guiding and supporting colleagues to elevate overall performance. You will utilize data-driven insights, present impactful analyses, and play a key role in advancing the team's mission and vision with an entrepreneurial mindset.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • The candidate is proficient in utilizing various software and platforms to enhance communication and streamline processes.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong client-centric approach and can cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. The candidate has proven experience in understanding and addressing clients' needs and challenges, delivering exceptional service and value.
  • The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects from inception to completion. Furthermore, they can prioritize tasks, set clear milestones, and ensure seamless execution while effectively mitigating risks and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • The candidate thrives in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment and remains composed and resilient in uncertain situations, proactively seeking innovative solutions and adapting strategies to meet emerging demands.
  • Employing a problem-solving mindset, the candidate can analyze complex issues and devise practical and impactful solutions. They continuously seek opportunities for improvement, leveraging data-driven insights and embracing creative thinking.
