The Team


This dynamic Cybersecurity Partnerships team within the Security Governance Services department is responsible for developing partnerships with academic and non-academic institutions for talent and innovation to (1) foster the creation of a diverse cybersecurity talent pipeline tailored to the Bank's needs, culture and business goals to meet current and future talent requirements (2) engage in collaborative research projects and the development of innovative solutions to solve industry challenges and increase the Bank's competitive advantage.


The Role


The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Partnerships, will play a key role in translating the cybersecurity partnerships strategy into action by managing, leading, and executing Scotiabank's cybersecurity partnership programs with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, that span organizations and geographies.


The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Partnerships will also collaboratively contribute to the development of a cybersecurity partnerships strategy and budget aligned with Scotiabank's Strategic goals, mission, vision, and values.


Some Of The Key Accountabilities Include


  • You enjoy acting as a liaison to industry partners and participants involved with cybersecurity Partnerships.
  • You love drafting project reports, technical reports, status reports, requirements, briefing notes, presentations, and recommendations in collaboration with all stakeholders and maintain documentation accordingly.
  • You thrive to ensure all aspects of assigned relationships receive ongoing attention, as required to maintain, improve, and retain the relationship by overall management of our cybersecurity partnership partners and program(s).
  • You are proficient in program delivery to ensure cybersecurity partnership programs/projects/student engagement sessions are executed effectively (e.g., managing scope, time, cost, performance, communication, people resources, contracts, materials, risks, and quality).
  • You possess strong project and event delivery management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple programs within tight timelines.
  • You have strong collaboration skills to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (including industry forums) to understand their mandates, issues and risks and incorporate these into our strategy.
  • You enjoy managing, supervising, motivating, and mentoring co-op/intern students or subordinates.
  • You are an expert in performing research work by analyzing and synthesizing business requirements in support of new cybersecurity partnership initiatives.
  • You are skilled in providing timely and up-to-date reporting of projects, including risks, to management and project team.
  • You are highly skilled in software for data analysis (Excel and Power BI), and you can develop and maintain a KPI tracking framework.
  • You are highly skilled in managing stakeholder engagement and relations by supporting the needs and requirements of our current and future cybersecurity partnerships including partnership agreements.
  • You excel in designing and supporting strategic initiatives and developing recommendations, written content, drafting presentations and reports with guidance from the Director, Cybersecurity Partnership.
  • You are highly skilled at managing multidisciplinary project teams and work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You thrive in analytical work and can collect, organize, analyze, visualize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You are proficient in using your superior relationship management and communications skills to establish strong connections with internal and external stakeholders and industry groups.


What You Will Bring To Succeed


  • Highly detail oriented; attention to accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and Power BI
  • PMP certification is considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Expert experience in multi-program and event delivery management
  • Collaborative team player
  • Expert research and analytical skills
  • Excellent initiative, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or another related field
  • Expert in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong facilitation and building consensus skills
  • Ability to function independently
  • Judgment and strategic thinking in the proactive identification and analysis of key issues
  • Confidence, fluency, and diplomacy in dealing with both internal and external executive personnel
