About Amplify Mission
Amplify Mission is committed to giving busy organizations back their time—we care for their business essentials so they can amplify their mission.
With a focus on charities, not-for-profits, faith-based organizations, and mission-driven for-profits (through our sister brand, Bakker Business Services), Amplify Mission provides hands-on support from caring professionals in back office + financial management, people + culture, grant writing, strategic planning and advisory services. Our approach is framed around three uniques: Simple, Relational, Excellence.
Hi, I’m Christine—Operations Director / Strategic Planning and Fundraising Practice Lead at Amplify. With an expanding client portfolio, we’re looking for an experienced Grant Writing practitioner to join our team as a Service Partner. In this role, you’ll deliver excellent grant writing services to non-profits, charities and faith-based organizations. If this sounds interesting to you so far, please read on!
The opportunity
In this part-time, project-based role, the Grant Writing Service Partner will serve as an extension of the Amplify Mission team, delivering Grant Writing services to our clients “the Amplify Way” – simple, relational, and with excellence. Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Collaborate with colleagues on the Grant Writing team to share research and donor pipeline information, and ensure an efficient and simple delivery of service for our clients.
- Carry out operational and administrative tasks to ensure efficient service delivery consistent with our values and processes.
- Function as hands-on grant writer and lead the grant-writing process for key client mandates.
- Consultatively engage Grant Writing clients to understand their mission and goals, advise on funding strategies, develop grant pipelines through research, and execute work plans tailored to their unique needs.
What you bring to the table
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-disciplined collaborator, administratively conscientious with the ability to execute with accuracy on the details without losing sight of the “big picture”.
- You understand the “language” of charities, not-for-profits, and faith-based organizations and have experience effectively telling their stories in a way that is true to their core beliefs.
- You are passionate about serving nonprofits, charities and faith-based organizations, and you genuinely enjoy building relationships and caring about clients’ missions to serve our clients well.
- Computer and digital literacy, including excellent internet research skills and proficiency in MS suite (Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams).
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian grants / funding landscape and a repertoire of research tools, databases, and networks, with specific experience in faith-based donor networks and serving faith-based clients
- You thrive in a remote-first, virtual work environment.
- You are versatile in your practice, able to adapt approach and execution depending on the size, type, and unique requirements of each grant.
- Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and streams of work for grant mandates.
- 2-3 years’ of progressive experience in grant writing
We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every single point listed above, but you’re passionate about serving others and developing your skills!
While Amplify is headquartered in Whitby, Ontario, this is a remote-working position, and we welcome applicants from anywhere in Canada!
